In early 2006, as a committed player in sustainable development, Gaz de France intensified its corporate responsibility drive along three complementary avenues:
- building an ethical approach
The aim of this project, which was begun in 2005 and was validated in 2007, is to build a global ethical approach in order to ensure that all the Group's employees are operating based on common and shared values. The ethical approach comprises a charter of values which translate into action principles, which themselves translate into codes of conduct. The efficiency of the system is guaranteed by a steering and monitoring system,
- sharing common managerial standards
These standards, which were drawn up in 2006, are currently being deployed across the Group. Each manager is responsible for defining his or her priorities for managerial improvement based on these standards and for applying these values in business dealings and in the relationships between employees. A Group-wide reporting structure is then used to derive best practices and measure the progress made,
- searching for a Group-wide corporate responsibility agreement
Gaz de France and the representatives of its workforce are aiming to implement a Group corporate accountability agreement by the end of 2007 based on the shared values within the Group.
