Sustainable development

Gaz de France's aspiration is to find a balance between performance and environmental protection, competitiveness and social contribution, profitability and public service. Gaz de France's policy for sustainable development reflects that aspiration.

[D] Textual description of the Sustainable development objectives animation

Energy challenges

To fight against global warming, Gaz de France is reducing its greenhouse gas emissions, working to develop renewable energies, promoting managed energy consumption and devising innovative solutions.

Social cohesion and community commitment

The Group contributes actively to regional development through concrete measures to foster social cohesion (easier access to energy, support for the most vulnerable, etc.).

Corporate industrial responsibility

Gaz de France is working to limit the environmental impact of its activities. In addition, safety is the Group's No.1 priority.

Approach

All of these objectives are pursued through:

  • specific policy priorities,
  • dialogue with stakeholders,
  • dedicated control and monitoring tools (action plans, Group sustainable development management system, etc.),
  • a structured, horizontally integrated organisation which ensures that the priorities infiltrate all levels of the Group.

Results

Gaz de France assesses the implementation of its sustainable development policy against environmental, social and societal criteria. Go to the Gaz de France performance indicators.
