Apprenticeship is a way of working towards qualifications whilst getting professional experience in a company. It offers the chance of a job in the company at the end of the apprenticeship.
Apprentices work towards their diploma alternately in the host company and at the Apprentice Training Centre (CFA) they choose when signing the contract. The contract between the apprentice and the company is for a period of 1 to 3 years, depending on the end qualification.

For Gaz de France, apprenticeship is an important component in the renewal of the company's skills base. The Group has supported placement training for many years and offers its apprentices a high level of assistance:
Gaz de France supports the following French vocational qualifications:
Apprenticeship and diversity
For Gaz de France, apprenticeship is also a way to give young people from all backgrounds and young workers with disabilities the opportunity to start out on their working lives.
For 2008, the Group has undertaken to give apprenticeship or vocational training contracts to 20 young people with disabilities and 40 young people from Urban Action Zones (ZUS).
