New Gaz de France website accessibility initiative

July 3, 2008

July 3, 2008 – In order to maximise the accessibility of its website, Gaz de France is committed to meeting two sets of quality criteria. The whole website fulfils the requirements of both the French AccessiWeb label and the European Euracert label.

The 2007 annual report and sustainable development report can be read by people with a visual or motor impairment and uses special browsers. Blind web users can access the content through voice synthesis and a Braille touchpad. Partially sighted users can adjust the display to their needs, by means of enlarged characters and modified colours and contrasts. Users with restricted use of their hands can also move around the reports using the keyboard.

Since its website makeover in 2006, digital accessibility has been one of the major objectives of Gaz de France's Internet policy.

In keeping with its values of community commitment and public service, this initiative now makes Gaz de France the first French company to provide a version of its annual report that fulfils international accessibility standards.
