Paris, April 10, 2008 – Today, Érélia, the Gaz de France subsidiary, has inaugurated the extension of the Le Haut des Ailes wind farm in Vezouze and Pays des Etangs in the Meurthe et Moselle and Moselle regions. Six new wind turbines, built in 2007, were brought online at the end of March 2008. The farm now has 22 turbines with a total capacity of 44 MW.

With the commissioning of the “Le Haut des Ailes” wind farm in 2005, followed by the Mont de Bézard farm in 2007, Érélia has become a recognised player in the world of wind power. Érélia's rapid development has been made possible thanks to an approach founded on a series of commitments setting out the values for local and sustainable development, systematically involving local players in consultation processes and financing for projects.

In 2007, Gaz de France acquired a 95% stake in Érélia and became the leading wind farm operator in France. With the extension of the “Le Haut des Ailes” wind farm, Gaz de France has a total capacity of 140 MW in operation in France.

By 2012, Gaz de France wants renewable energy facilities to account for 20% of the Group's total electrical capacity in Europe, with 2,000 MW on wind facilities, focusing on the development of onshore wind power.

Érélia, which aims to develop a further 300 MW in France over the next four years, has confirmed this commitment alongside the rapid development of Gaz de France's other subsidiaries.
