Paris, October 31, 2007 - Gaz de France and the Swiss company Gasverbund Mittelland AG (GVM) recently signed a ten-year supply contract. By the terms of this agreement, Gaz de France will deliver 2 billion kWh of natural gas to GVM per year, or approximately 200 million cu.m., between 2010 and 2020. GVM, with a 33.5% market share, is the largest of the four regional gas companies in Switzerland.

The two companies, which have been partners for more than 30 years, are pleased with this new contract which, added to a supply agreement in force since 1998, will double the amount of natural gas imported by GVM from France.

This agreement consequently makes Gaz de France the second largest supplier of GVM until 2010, and enables GVM to strike a better balance for its gas imports from France and northern Europe, thereby guaranteeing greater security of supply for its partners and customers.
