GRTgaz, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gaz de France publishes its 10-year investment plan

Paris, June 25, 2007 – Gaz de France informs the financial community that GRTgaz, a wholly-owned Group subsidiary, recently made its 10 years forecast for French transmission network development publicly available. The indicative 10-year system development plan can be consulted on the subsidiary's website at the following address:

GRTgaz is responsible for operating, maintaining and developing a natural gas transmission network in France of a total length of more than 31,600km.

In a rapidly changing European market, GRTgaz pursues a dual objective:

  • To deliver natural gas to customers under optimum conditions of both cost and security
  • To accompany the deregulation of the natural gas market in France by making the network available to all approved operators in accordance with the principle of total impartiality.

In 2006, GRTgaz carried a total of 689 billion kWh of natural gas on behalf of 25 different operators.
