DK6 generates electricity from two gases: natural gas and blast furnace gas produced in the steelmaking process. This technology reduces negative effects on the environment, because natural gas is the cleanest of the fossil fuels. In addition, the gases from the blast furnaces are recycled instead of just being burnt off into the atmosphere.
